Roles

The ultimate goal of the auto-gration project is to develop a solution that fits the automotive industry's needs, an objective that can only be reached if the main actors of the sector participate in the initiative. This collaborative approach is required in order to achieve a real consensus among the sector's stakeholders on the best solution for improving eBusiness integration, and how to promote its adoption by the industry.

To this end, the auto-gration consortium has identified four types of organisation whose participation is vital for the project's success: Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), large companies, ERP vendors, and B2B service providers. Each of these has a role to play in the project, and only through the collaboration of all can the auto-gration initiative achieve its goals. EAP running and Architecture refining

Deployment and running of pilot-prototypes in 100 Early Adopters under real-life usage conditions
Refining and validation of auto-gration based on feedback data from Early Adopters

SMEs

Run the pilot prototypes where the first auto-gration implementation will be tested under real-life conditions
Provide feedback on the auto-gration prototype performance during the EAP, and on the auto-gration design overall

Large companies

Run the pilot prototypes where the first auto-gration implementation will be tested under real-life conditions
Provide feedback on the auto-gration prototype performance during the EAP, and on the auto-gration design overall

ERP vendors

Assist their customers to participate in the EAP by providing them with support on auto-gration-related issues
Provide feedback on the auto-gration prototype integration during the EAP, and on the auto-gration design overall

Dissemination of results

Workshop to present project results and encourage wider industry adoption
Signing by key stake-holders of Memorandum of Understanding to support mainstream adoption of auto-gration
