What is the auto-gration Architecture?

The auto-gration Architecture is this project’s vision of how to improve eBusiness integration among companies throughout the automotive supply chain, a new message exchange model that provides a system-neutral language to and from which the many different automotive and other industry sector EDI standards can be transformed.

In a auto-gration implementation, the auto-gration Connector is plugged into existing EDI systems (respecting already made investments) and seamlessly transforms the messages to and from the auto-gration specification, allowing previously non-interoperable systems to communicate.

Today, a company that trades with multiple partners in the automotive supply chain must deal with different EDI systems separately. There are B2B service providers that can ameliorate the problem by translating messages from one format to another, but their services still have significant limitations. The auto-gration Architecture will offer a generic, EDI-neutral, middleman language to which exchanged messages can be transformed, facilitating the integration of different EDI systems.
