auto-gration Messages
|
At the core of the auto-gration specification are the auto-gration Messages, the messages that an application must be able to send and receive in order to be considered auto-gration-compliant. The design of the auto-gration Message is based on the Joint Automotive Data Model (JADM), which should guarantee the greatest possible compatibility with established European and global automotive message standards. auto-gration works with the existing EDI infrastructure and, for this reason, when an auto-gration Message is sent to its destination, it may undergo transformations along the way depending on the format required by the destination and, possibly, by intermediate stations. |

XML (with CSV as an optional derived format) is used to serialize the auto-gration Messages content. The auto-gration Messages are wrapped inside an XML envelope structure, which also contains addressing and routing information. Each envelope contains one of the defined business documents. If more than one document is to be transmitted, an envelope is generated for each document and the envelopes are transmitted sequentially.
